the problem column names different within each sub dataframe. thus, when pandas concat
, doesn't append dataframes bottom, expands dataframe have new colums right names , appends rows.
you can solve renaming columns in sub dataframes e.g.

you note unexpected ordering of columns in example. won't affect solution, explain completeness.
the columns in output in called 'lexicographic ordering'. common problem when sorting strings containing numbers in python (and other languages). sorted in order looks almost right, somehow runs 1, 10, 11 ... 19, 2, 20 , on. because ordering sorts letter letter dictionary, 0
