Xcode - account already has valid iOS Distribution Certificate -


my developer team has added new distribution certificate our apple developer account. downloaded it, , on keychain. however, message in xcode:

you have valid ios distribution certificate in member center, not installed locally. if signing identity installed on mac, can export developer profile on mac , import on mac. can revoke current certificate , request new one.

when go preferences > accounts > view details, see 1 certificate signing identity "ios development". how add new distribution certificate? thought enough install on keychain. when try drag certificate keychain signing identities in view details section, doesn't work because can't drag in there.

i thought downloading distribution certificate enough have "installed locally" xcode said, apparently it's not effective.

any or advice appreciated. thanks.

xcode / preferences / accounts - apple id, member of developer team? bottom right (of accounts tab), under team name, may default "(your name) (personal team)", there should choice "(your team's name)". if team named "the awesome team", "the awesome team" should selected under "team name", not personal name.

update:
how "select team name" has varied version version of xcode.
first step click on team name.
click on button below it. in 1 version, button said "show details..". write this, button says "download profiles".

another alternative double-click team name. should pop dialog.

to verify desired team still selected, have quit xcode, open again, go preferences / accounts again.

in newer versions of xcode, seems real problem "automatically manage signing" isn't making desired choice. find that, , turn off, select desired certificate. sagar mody's answer explains bit more.

if still not working you, works else, might worth asking them screenshots of see in (1) member center in browser - certificates, provisioning profiles, (2) xcode / preferences / account, (3) "view details" account. worst case, ask them temporarily change password, , try account on computer, verify can working if log in them. if can that, there not set right account. try find difference in member center, or in xcode screenshots.
